You’ve seen stunning Northern Lights photos online, but have you captured your own? Location is everything! Join True Nature Sweden for a thrilling night's adventure to the best spots around Stockholm, where you’ll have the chance to photograph the auroras yourself.

During this unique Stockholm adventure, your guide will share fascinating stories and myths about the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis. These tales are magical in their own right. Once on location, you’ll be served a variety of hot drinks and cinnamon buns—a typical Swedish fika. If conditions allow, your guide will make a fire and serve traditional boiled coffee over an open flame, a classic Nordic way of making coffee. All guides on this trip are avid photographers with local expertise, ready to help you capture incredible images of the northern lights with your camera. Just don’t forget your tripod!

During this outdoor activity, we may travel throughout the whole region to one or several spectacular locations with a proven track record. Weather conditions will decide for us where to go, don’t worry, your guide is on it!

Embark on the best northern lights experience in Stockholm!

Stockholm is further south than typical Northern Lights hotspots, so the auroras here are usually best captured through photography, as the colours may not be visible to the naked eye except on rare occasions. With the right solar activity, ideal weather conditions, and our expert guides, you’ll have the best possible chance to capture an unforgettable shot

Once we wrap up our northern lights hunt, hopefully be successful. It’ll be time to begin the journey back to civilization. Depending on northern light activity, weather, and road conditions, we’ll aim to be back in Stockholm at around 01.00. Please note that the drop-off time may vary.

We will drop you off at Stockholm Central train Station so you have access to transport or taxi in an easier way.
